When developing the building design, we sought to respond to key local factors that guided the form, materiality and articulation of the buildings, including;

• Integrating the West Site into the wider Elephant and Castle Town Centre, complementing the East Site currently under construction.
• Responding to the Elliott’s Row Conservation Area, with the external ‘wrap’ of the building stepping down to meet the lower context to the west.
• Respecting the Victorian terraced houses on Oswin Street by designing contextual mansion blocks which respond to the change in height and scale.
